How to use past papers well

  1. Find your weak topics first, so you know which questions to spend time on.
  2. Do a full paper only once you can score on most topics; use topic sets before that.
  3. Write your working. Most marks in A-Level Maths are for method, not the final answer.
  4. Mark yourself against the official mark scheme, point by point (M, A and B marks).
  5. Note where you lost marks by topic, then revise those topics before the next paper.

Where the marks are across the papers we have

100 marks across 1 paper. We tag each question part with one topic ourselves, so treat this as a guide to emphasis, not an exam-board figure. It grows as we add papers.

Past paper questions students ask

Where can I download the official A-Level Maths past papers?
From your exam board. AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR each publish their question papers and mark schemes free of charge. We link to each board's own past-paper page and do not republish their PDFs.
How is practising here different from downloading a paper?
You answer each question on screen, we check the answers we can check automatically, and you mark the rest yourself against the mark-scheme points. Your marks are then grouped by topic so you can see what to revise.
Are the marks by topic official?
No. We tag each question with a topic ourselves, and the totals are our own analysis. They are a revision aid, not an exam-board statistic, and they are not grade boundaries.
