Privacy notice

Plain-language summary of what we store and why. MathsLearner is free and has no advertising.

Draft. This notice describes how the service works today. It still needs a legal review, a named contact address and a lawful-basis statement before the public launch.

What we store

  • Your sign-in: when you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. We never see your Google password and we do not ask for any other Google data.
  • Your profile: the name you give us, your exam board and your year group.
  • Your learning data: the diagnostic and practice questions you answer, your answers, marks, and the progress scores worked out from them.
  • Reports you send us: if you report a problem with a question, we store the report and your note.
  • Product events: simple events such as "diagnostic started" linked to your account, so we can see whether the service is useful.

We do not collect your address, phone number, date of birth or school details.

The diagnostic without an account

You can take the diagnostic without signing in. Your answers stay in your own browser until you choose to sign in and save them. Nothing about an anonymous diagnostic is stored on our servers, other than the usual server logs.

Cookies and third parties

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own site. Sign-in is provided by Google, and our data is stored with Supabase.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Deleting it permanently removes your profile, answers, sessions, progress and reports. The simple product events are kept without any link to you, so they can no longer identify you.

Your rights

You can see your details, correct them, and delete your account at any time from your account page. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or object to how it is used. A contact address for these requests will be published here before launch.

Students under 18

The service is built for A-Level students, many of whom are under 18. We collect only what is needed to run it, and we never use your data for advertising.
